Mr. Arindam Mrinal Pal graduated from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata in 2006. Pursuant to his graduation, he has worked with premier law firms like Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co., Mumbai, Economic Laws Practice, Mumbai, etc wherein he has advised clients in matters relating to general corporate laws, infrastructure and project finance laws and real estate laws.
Thereafter, he ventured out and co-founded the firm, Augustus Law, in the year 2011 whereunder he has primarily been advising asset reconstruction companies and special situation funds in legal matters concerning acquisition and consequent assignment of loan accounts (both standard accounts and non-performing accounts) and rendering assistance in handling litigation matters concerning the same.
Mr. Pal is also a registered insolvency professional with the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Board of India and has acted as a process adviser for several corporate insolvency resolution cases and liquidation matters under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
Further, Mr. Pal also has significant experience of working with large real estate houses and developer groups based out of Kolkata and Mumbai wherein he has assisted them in conducting title search investigation exercises, structuring of consequent real estate investments and drafting and negotiating property related documentation concerning the same.
Mr. Pal regularly conducts in-house training and seminar sessions on increasing legal awareness and key legal developments for top corporate houses in Kolkata and Mumbai and has published articles on corporate and business issues – notably in the fields of corporate governance and corporate insolvency.
